Building envelope repair:
CPR Group repairs failed wall assemblies, damaged roofing systems, and compromised insulation that have allowed moisture, air, or thermal bridging into the structure.
WHERE THE FIRST THING WE BUILD IS TRUST
CPR Group Ltd restores failing building envelopes on residential and commercial properties across Calgary, fixing the exterior wall, roof, insulation, and air barrier assemblies that protect the building from moisture, air leakage, and thermal loss. Since 2007, CPR Group has used building science principles to diagnose envelope failures at the source, not just the visible damage, so repairs actually solve the underlying problem.
If your building has persistent leaks, condensation, ice dams, or rising energy costs, the envelope is usually where the problem lives.
Since 2007, CPR Group Ltd has served Calgary and Southern Alberta with full-service roofing, property restoration, and exterior renovations.
We offer a wide range of building envelope restoration services tailored to meet the specific needs of Calgary residents and businesses:
CPR Group repairs failed wall assemblies, damaged roofing systems, and compromised insulation that have allowed moisture, air, or thermal bridging into the structure.
Our crew traces envelope leaks to their actual source, not just where water shows up inside, using building science principles, thermal imaging, and HAAG-certified inspection methodology.
CPR Group installs membrane waterproofing, air barriers, and sealed penetrations to stop water and air infiltration at the wall and roof assemblies, protecting the insulation and framing behind.
Our team addresses cold spots, condensation zones, and insulation voids that show up on thermal imaging, improving energy performance and eliminating the conditions that grow mould.
CPR Group restores damaged exterior cladding, siding, trim, and flashings that form the first line of defence against Alberta's weather.
Our HAAG Certified Inspectors check the roof assembly and the critical roof-to-wall junctions where envelope failures most commonly start, then rebuild the details correctly.
Since 2007
CPR Group Ltd, a Calgary restoration contractor since 2007, has restored building envelopes across Calgary, combining hands-on roofing and exterior experience with formal building science training.
CPR Group understands how water, air, and heat actually move through Alberta wall and roof assemblies, and our HAAG Certified Inspectors produce the documentation needed to justify envelope repairs to property managers, insurance adjusters, and condo boards. Envelope work is rarely cosmetic. It's almost always about protecting the structural and mechanical investment behind the cladding.
Every CPR Group building envelope project is backed by $5 million in commercial general liability coverage through Federated Insurance, SECOR safety certification, active WCB-Alberta coverage since February 2013, membership in the Alberta Allied Roofing Association (AARA) since 2021, and a BBB A+ accreditation held continuously since July 2015.
CPR Group serves Calgary, Airdrie, Okotoks, Chestermere, Strathmore, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Brooks, and High River.
Warning Signs
Recurring stains on upper floor ceilings, around windows, or at roof-to-wall junctions are envelope failure symptoms. Surface patching rarely solves them because the leak source is usually several feet away from where water appears.
When warm interior air reaches a cold surface inside the wall, it condenses, feeds mould, and degrades framing. This is an air barrier and insulation failure, not a plumbing or ventilation problem.
Chronic ice damming along the eaves means heat is escaping from the attic, melting roof snow, and refreezing at the cold overhang. That's an insulation, air sealing, and ventilation failure in the envelope.
When a building's heating costs climb year over year without a rate change or usage change, the envelope is usually losing more heat than it used to. Thermal imaging can show exactly where.

FAQ
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our storm or building envelope restoration process.
Building envelope restoration is the process of repairing the exterior wall, roof, insulation, and air and moisture barrier assemblies that protect a building from weather, air leakage, and thermal loss. It goes beyond cosmetic repairs to fix the underlying cause of leaks, condensation, mould, and energy loss.
Recurring interior leaks, condensation inside walls, chronic ice dams, mould growth, rising heating costs, and visible staining on the exterior cladding are all signs of envelope failure. CPR Group's HAAG Certified Inspectors can assess the envelope and identify the actual source of the problem.
